You may have come across very specific Chinese terms for eye shape, like peach blossom (桃花眼), danfeng (丹凤) and ruifeng (瑞凤) eyes. The latter are both "phoenix" eyes - with that long upward curve at the ends. This image illustrates the difference between danfeng (top) and ruifeng (bottom).
