I could spend hours explaining not only what I carry in my backpack in The Long Dark, but why I carry a specific number of some very specific items. Exactly 5 Sticks at all times. Exactly 2 Coal. Exactly 5 Cat Tail Stalks. There are more, but those are some of the more specific items/counts.
