This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Should Bluesky itself develop a “Reels” / “YouTube Shorts” … or should it support an app ecosystem that enables third party app development of a platform like this.
App vs protocol work is not the only axis of effort that Bluesky - or ecosystem partners - could choose to focus on.
