Hear me out on this: Marvel made nerds worse and it's ruining Star Trek. Star Trek is a show for nerds, and that used to mean it could be a place for high minded exploration, but the nerd culture promoted by Marvel isn't really compatible with that. Too big of budgets, too many explosions.
