This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Oh absolutely. My gut feeling tells me that pulling off something like shadcn with WCs (using solid-element, of course, I'm not a savage) AND using the shadow dom would make one hell of a headache for styling and keeping styles consistent across components.
