This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Mastodon now defaults to a single server when signing up in the app (which got controversy over centralizing, as the article notes), but not sure if "too little too late." Bluesky has attention (easy to use/sign up), but A) beta/rollout's slow and B) still missing some features (hashtags? lists?).
