One last thought: BCS did a phenomenal job of showing why Mike Ehrmantraut's loyalty to Gus Fring was so limited in Breaking Bad. Gus hated the Salamancas because they were mad dogs, but his often unnecessary ruthlessness alienated Mike.
But Gus is tragic for that reason - he DOES know better.
