This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I think I've found a workable workflow for writing lecture slides (we have to produce PowerPoint slide, which I hate)
1. Write them in MarkDown using Marp's VS Code plugin
2. Export to PDF
3. Export (under duress) to pptx, it even does editable versions that are only some kB in size.
