For Halloween, we were playing 5e's revision in an episodic campaign with rotating DMs.
Earlier, I ran Written In Blood by Erin Roberts from Radiant Citadel. It has fantastic flavor and story. I replaced the monsters in it with Flee Mortal monsters which introduced players to stuff like minions.
