I loved that Garth primarily played a Lowrey organ (like the one @joshlanghoff.bsky.social and John Benedeck play at Wrigley). Everybody at the time was playing the Hammond B3, and rightfully so. But Garth’s Lowrey gave him a different sound that, along with his brilliant playing, set him apart.
