This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

The answer: I want to share my thoughts with the world, in a model resembling the old site, but using a more user-friendly infrastructure (public benefit company, open source tech, users control what they see).
The model annoys me, but has persisted many years and can be put to good use. (7/9)
