This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Selected text on Github (and many others) isn't visible if you have the `experimental-web-platform-features` flag set in Chrome. Not a bug, but working as intended: https://www.azabani.com/2022/09/01/meet-the-css-highlight-pseudos.html#accessing-global-constants 🤯. Hope the spec unbreaks this state.
