Just did a little math regarding seasonal anime getting a sequel
If I look at airing anime from when I started watching (Spring 2018) until 5 years ago (Fall 2019), that gives me 86 non sequel unique anime. Of those 86, only 25 got a continuation so far. That's about 30% of seasonal anime continue.
