My first invite to an industry party came from Aub Driver. I had been writing reviews for Comics Bulletin, and he was the Press Contact at Dark Horse. I was going to be at ECCC, and he said, in his Aub way "And I am getting drinks with YOU broceratops!"
Folks I met that night are still friends.
